Jad Al Qubati

Jad Al Qubati makes work in two disciplines at once — a painter and a composer who treats a canvas and a score as the same act by different means. The images and the music share a single palette: the warm ruin of Al-Andalus, harbour light, and the ache of places remembered.

The music is cinematic and unhurried — strings, piano, and voice arranged like weather moving over old stone. The visual work carries the same temperature: gold against deep shadow, figures caught between memory and myth.
